The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) is addressing a growing need for practical leadership skills among front-line professionals in the grain and grain processing industries with its new Leadership Training program.

The 2026 sessions will be held March 11 at Vortex in Salina, Kansas, and March 25 at the CNH Training Center in Nevada, Iowa. Each one-day course offers interactive learning, peer discussions, and real-world tools tailored to the unique challenges of managing teams while balancing hands-on work.

Designed for front-line leaders, operations and maintenance managers, supervisors, safety personnel, and field superintendents, the program focuses on managing team performance, communicating expectations, and leading with confidence. Newly promoted supervisors and early-career leaders are especially encouraged to attend.

The training is led by Dan Topf, owner of Topf Business Learning, who brings over 25 years of experience helping organizations improve performance and decision-making. His approach ensures the curriculum remains relevant and immediately applicable.

GEAPS emphasizes the program’s role in strengthening the industry’s long-term success by enhancing leadership capabilities and expanding local professional networks. Registration costs $100 for GEAPS members and $200 for non-members.
