The Renewable Fuels Association has hired Maddie Jenks as its new Director of Regulatory Affairs, bringing her energy policy experience to an industry facing an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Jenks will develop and implement regulatory strategies for the trade group, monitor federal and state proposals, and help member companies navigate compliance requirements. She’ll also lead efforts to engage with government agencies on industry priorities.
“The regulatory environment for ethanol has never been more dynamic or demanding, and Maddie’s experience and expertise will help our member companies make sense of complex and ever-changing regulations at both the state and federal level,” said Geoff Cooper, RFA president and CEO.
Cooper noted the importance of having strong representation in regulatory discussions covering the Renewable Fuel Standard, E15, the 45Z tax credit, and state low-carbon fuel programs.
Before joining RFA, Jenks worked at Pilot Company, where she managed federal and state energy policy issues affecting transportation fuels and the travel center industry. Her responsibilities included developing advocacy strategies, analyzing legislative proposals, coordinating with trade associations, and advising leadership on renewable fuels and transportation energy matters.
