The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) has opened registration for GEAPS Exchange 2027, its annual conference and trade show, set for Feb. 20-23 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City.
GEAPS announced the opening Wednesday in a release. The program includes more than 40 hours of educational sessions, and the association expects more than 400 exhibitors in the expo hall, which it describes as the grain industry's largest trade show. Booth space is still available.
The main addition this year is a Maintenance Academy within the Maintenance track. The format is hands-on. Students in the first class will rotate among four workstations, each with live demonstrations on maintaining bulk solids handling equipment.
The academy is aimed at the equipment that moves grain and other bulk materials through elevators and processing plants. Beyond maintenance, the conference's educational tracks cover Safety & Grain Operations, Leadership & HR, and Processing.
GEAPS is also taking applications for the International Oil Mill Superintendents Association Golden Ticket Award, now in its third year. The award covers registration for Exchange 2027 and includes a $500 travel stipend. The International Oil Mill Superintendents Association promoted education and the well-being of its members from 1905 to 2023, according to GEAPS.
The conference will again host the GEAPS Awards. The Member of Distinction Award and the Industry Leader Award recognize individuals in the grain and grain processing industries, and nominations are open.
GEAPS is an international association of grain and processing professionals. Its network includes more than 4,000 individual members from about 1,200 companies, according to the release.
Advanced registration rates are available now, and prices increase Jan. 28, according to GEAPS. Pricing and registration details are posted on the association's website, along with the full conference schedule.
