USGBC Global Ethanol Summit to feature industry leaders as keynote speakers

Skor, Cooper and Moniz will address international audience on bioethanol's role in decarbonization.

The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council has announced three prominent industry figures as keynote speakers for the upcoming Global Ethanol Summit taking place Oct. 19-22 in Washington, D.C.

Emily Skor, CEO of Growth Energy, Geoff Cooper, President and CEO of Renewable Fuels Association, and Dr. Ernest Moniz, former Department of Energy undersecretary, will headline the event aimed at promoting bioethanol as a viable decarbonization solution for transportation.

The summit expects to draw more than 450 ministerial-level officials and industry leaders from over 40 countries to discuss expanding global ethanol use.

Skor, named among "Washington's Most Influential People" in 2024 and 2025 by Washingtonian magazine, will present on global leadership in ethanol. Cooper, a recipient of the industry's "High Octane Award," will address ethanol's future in growing markets.

Dr. Moniz, who previously served as founding director of the MIT Energy Initiative, will deliver a keynote on Oct. 21 focusing on ethanol as a strategic tool for energy transition.

The summit begins with general sessions on Oct. 20 covering global policy, trade opportunities, leadership and future outlook, followed by breakout sessions exploring industry challenges.
