The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) will hold its 2027 animal nutrition program on poultry gut health during the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
The program, "Poultry Nutrition Under Challenge: Linking Feed, Gut Health and Performance," runs from 10 a.m. to noon Eastern time Jan. 27. Veterinarians and nutritionists will examine how compromised gut environments affect bird performance and how nutrition and feed processing can limit those losses.
"This program will connect intestinal health challenges observed in the field with practical nutritional strategies, helping industry professionals better understand how feeding decisions and nutrition tools can support bird resilience and productivity," said Yuan-Tai Hung, senior manager of research at the Institute for Feed Education and Research, AFIA's public charity.
The session is an add-on to IPPE registration. Attendees must register for the expo first and buy program tickets separately. Tickets cost $79 through Jan. 8 and $99 starting Jan. 9.
IPPE runs Jan. 26-28, 2027, at the Georgia World Congress Center and is sponsored by AFIA, the Meat Institute and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
