The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has announced the appointment of Lane Howard as its new director of biofuels, effective February 3. Howard brings nearly a decade of experience in agricultural issues, most recently managing market development for the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council and Missouri Corn Growers Association.

Sean Arians, NCGA's vice president of sustainable production and value chain engagement, praised Howard's appointment, stating, "Ethanol is one of our marquee issues and is important to rural economies. We are thrilled to welcome a professional of Lane's caliber to manage this important portfolio."

Howard's experience includes overseeing corn use and demand growth initiatives, collaborating on national-level projects, and participating in NCGA's strategic planning process. A University of Missouri graduate, Howard's expertise in biofuels and industry relationships positions him well to lead NCGA's efforts in this crucial sector.
