Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) has announced a new award program aimed at supporting grain processing professionals to attend their annual Exchange conference. The IOMSA Golden Ticket will provide full registration and a $500 travel stipend for five selected applicants to attend GEAPS Exchange 2025, scheduled for February 22-25 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Key highlights of the program include:

  • Named after the International Oil Mill Superintendents Association (IOMSA)
  • Open to current employees of grain processing facilities
  • Application deadline: January 8, with winners notified shortly after
  • Complements a new educational track on grain processing at Exchange 2025

The new grain processing track will cover topics such as extraction methods, safety regulations, soybean processing techniques, and the role of vegetable oils in sustainability and renewable fuels.

To further enhance networking opportunities, GEAPS will host a grain processor Meet-Up on Sunday, February 23, during the Welcome Reception in the Expo Hall. This event will provide a dedicated space for professionals in the grain processing sector to connect and share insights.

John Caupert, GEAPS Executive Director, emphasized the program's significance: "If you work in the grain processing industry, from ethanol production to soy crushing; from wet milling to wheat milling or any industry in between, the Golden Ticket is your ticket to the largest single site grain and grain processing conference in the world."

This initiative reflects GEAPS' efforts to bring more agricultural sectors together at Exchange, offering valuable networking and educational opportunities for professionals across the grain industry.
