The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) has officially opened registration for its much-anticipated annual conference, GEAPS Exchange, set to take place from February 22-25, 2025, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Missouri. This event promises to be the largest gathering in the grain industry, offering invaluable opportunities for professionals at all levels to connect, share insights, and shape the future of agriculture.
GEAPS Exchange is a cornerstone event for the grain handling and processing community, providing over 45 hours of educational sessions that cover every aspect of grain handling and storage. Attendees will have access to a diverse array of topics, including the newly introduced processing track, which will focus on educational and technical opportunities specifically within the grain processing industry. Special emphasis will be placed on critical topics such as ethanol production and soybean crushing.
“GEAPS Exchange 2025 brings the first-ever grain processing track that will focus on educational and technical opportunities throughout the grain processing industry,” said John Caupert, Executive Director of GEAPS. “With the transformational shifts going on throughout the agriculture industry, GEAPS Exchange is the must-attend conference of the year. GEAPS Exchange has something for everyone.”
The event will kick off with keynote speaker Pamela Barnum, who will present her insights on tactical influence, drawing from her extensive experience in the criminal justice system as an undercover police officer and federal prosecutor. Her field-tested strategies are expected to challenge leaders to bridge the gap between intentions and impact, setting the tone for an inspiring and educational conference.
The Idea Exchange Program will showcase innovative products and concepts from industry peers, providing a platform for learning and networking. Attendees can look forward to the Expo Hall, which is anticipated to feature more than 400 exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements in grain handling and processing equipment. This hands-on experience allows participants to see, touch, and feel new machinery, with sessions including a grain entrapment rescue demonstration and interactive presentations across four educational tracks: processing, safety, employee development, and grain operations.
“GEAPS Exchange is the single best way to network and connect with industry partners,” said Austin Carpenter, GEAPS International President and a long-time attendee. “Each year, I see new exhibitors with technology from parallel industries offering solutions to our problems.”
In addition to educational opportunities, GEAPS Exchange will host a variety of networking events designed to foster professional connections. Highlights include an opening Mixer for first-time and international attendees, the Get Acquainted Party at the College Basketball Experience, the Welcome Reception in the Expo Hall, and the closing Music Bingo event, which gained popularity during the 2024 schedule.
Companies supplying products and services in the grain industry are encouraged to participate, with limited booths and sponsorship opportunities still available. Interested parties can contact GEAPS for more information.
As the grain industry continues to evolve, GEAPS Exchange 2025 stands out as an essential event for anyone involved in grain handling and processing. Early Bird registration is now open, allowing attendees to secure their spot and take advantage of discounted rates.
With its focus on education, networking, and innovation, GEAPS Exchange 2025 is poised to be a pivotal event for the future of agriculture.
