Akira Kyles has reported on an update to grain bin injury victim for the Carroll County Times.
Christopher Campbell fell into the bin while trying to hang stirring equipment at LnR Feed and Grain’s facility in Hampstead, PA. Campbell suffered a compression fracture and needed emergency responders to remove him from the bin so he could be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Campbell was installing the equipment with a coworker when he slipped, was unable to regain his footing and fell. Campbell admits that he should have been tied off while performing the install. Luckily an ambulance was able to arrive and remove Campbell within 15 minutes and he is well on his way to recovery.
