Members of the USGBC wrap up annual meeting in Panama City

USGBC members focusing on expanding global markets for U.S. grains and bio-products.

The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) concluded its 23rd International Marketing Conference and 66th Annual Membership Meeting Feb. 11-13 in Panama City, Panama, with a board of delegates session and Council reports.

The event featured sector meetings on barley, sorghum, corn, farm organizations, agribusiness, and ethanol. USGBC Chairman Mark Wilson led the board session, highlighting conference achievements and providing administrative and financial updates to ensure transparency and organizational health.

A panel on ethanol’s expanding frontier included Alicia Koch, USGBC director of global ethanol export development, who emphasized the growing global demand for clean cooking solutions using ethanol. Other panelists included James Glueck of the Plant Based Products Council, Erin Heitkamp of GEVO, and Shailesh Sahay of Bracewell.

Delegates also recognized members and staff for service milestones and reviewed Advisory Teams’ and sectors’ discussion outcomes.

Wilson closed the meeting by underscoring the conference’s role in shaping USGBC’s priorities to grow global markets for U.S. corn, sorghum, barley, ethanol, and distiller’s grains.
