Karen Braun, a global commodities market analyst with Thomson Reuters, will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 Women in Agribusiness Summit, organizers announced Tuesday. The event is scheduled for September 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
Braun's presentation, "U.S. Ag Commodities Market Outlook," will open the 14th annual summit on September 22. She will focus on key trends in U.S. and global agricultural commodity markets, including price movements and supply-demand dynamics for crops such as soybeans, corn and wheat.
In a recent interview, Braun emphasized the importance of reviewing the larger picture during volatile times. She noted, "Trade imbalances are not inherently negative. You have to look at the prices of commodities the U.S. typically imports versus those it exports."
The summit will feature more than two dozen speakers addressing various aspects of the agricultural sector. Organizers aim to empower, educate and facilitate networking among women in agriculture.
