Women In Agribusiness

The Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Summit has announced the lineup for its popular Female Producer Panel, scheduled for September 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The panel, part of the 14th annual WIA Summit, will feature three prominent female farm owners discussing innovative strategies for agricultural success.

Tim Brennan, Vice President for Projects and Strategic Impact at Farm Foundation, will moderate the panel. Participants include:

  • Cheri De Jong, Co-owner and CFO of AgriVision Farm Management, overseeing 27 family-owned agricultural businesses and co-owning one of the largest organic dairy farms in the U.S.

  • Lynetta Usher Griner, Corporate Secretary of Usher Land & Timber, Inc., a generational logger and timberland owner who was the first woman president of the Florida Forestry Association.

  • Lisa Hill, Co-owner of Southern Hill Farms, who transformed her 120-acre family property into a popular agritourism destination.

The panel will focus on dynamic solutions for staying relevant in agriculture, including agritourism, vertical integration models, and collaborations with industry partners.

"This key session promises to showcase what farmers are focused on to survive in today's tumultuous environment," said a WIA spokesperson.

The WIA Summit aims to empower, educate, and network women in the agriculture sector. Attendees can expect discussions on farmer health, market development, digital agriculture, and conservation.
