The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) recently participated in the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing, promoting American agriculture as a sustainable, available, and high-value source for food and feed. The five-day event, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, attracted over 50,000 attendees and featured nearly 700 exhibitors.
Manuel Sanchez, USGC director in China, emphasized the Council's success in reinforcing U.S. agriculture's position as the most reliable and highest-quality supplier for global food demand. The expo, themed "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," facilitated trade agreements valued at more than $21 billion.
The USGC operated a booth in the Green Agriculture Supply Chain section, showcasing the efficiency, sustainability, and stability of U.S. grain exports. Key features included:
- Interactive presentations demonstrating the seamless logistics of transporting goods from U.S. farms to global markets
- Discussions with stakeholders on U.S. methods for ensuring consistent grain quality and supply
- Visual materials highlighting climate-conscious practices throughout the U.S. agricultural value chain
This event provided a significant platform for the USGC to network with policymakers, industry professionals, and logistics experts, further strengthening the position of U.S. agriculture in the global market.
