The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has announced the appointment of Andi Harizi as its new accountant, effective November 4. Harizi, a finance graduate from Virginia Tech, brings valuable experience in nonprofit accounting to the organization.

In his new role, Harizi will work closely with AFIA's Chief Financial Officer, Andy Timmins, to support financial operations not only for AFIA but also for its partner organizations. These include the Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), the Food and Agriculture Export Alliance (FAEA), and the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI).

Harizi's background in outsourced accounting, where he managed financial operations for multiple nonprofit organizations, positions him well for this role. His responsibilities at AFIA will likely encompass a range of financial tasks, from managing accounts to preparing financial statements and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Andy Timmins expressed enthusiasm about the new hire, stating, "We are excited to welcome Andi Harizi to the AFIA team. His experience in nonprofit accounting and strong financial background makes him an asset to our organization and our partners."

This addition to AFIA's financial team comes as the organization continues its efforts to support the animal food industry and work towards its mission. Harizi's expertise is expected to contribute significantly to these ongoing initiatives, strengthening AFIA's financial management capabilities.
