A grain bin fire erupted Tuesday evening at the Cornerstone Grain feed mill in Bluffton, Indiana, prompting a multi-agency emergency response that included a ladder truck from Allen County. Fire crews from Bluffton, Ossian and Liberty Center worked through the night to contain the blaze.

The scene was initially cleared around 3:20 a.m., but firefighters were called back twice to extinguish lingering flames and hot spots beneath a section of the roof that had collapsed. Officials with the Bluffton Fire Protection Territory reported the main structure sustained heavy damage.

Rail traffic on the adjacent Norfolk Southern line was temporarily halted but has since resumed. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
