WJCL's Dan Scott reported that a fire Tuesday afternoon destroyed a warehouse at Mid South Feeds in Bacon County, Georgia, sending heavy, dark smoke over the area. Flames were still flickering Wednesday morning, and crews let the leftover material burn out on its own.

The Alma-Bacon County Fire Department, whose station sits across the street from the business, kept watch over the site. Employees said the building, which was used mainly to sort bags and held some animal feed, sat outside the mill's main production area.

Employees said they did not expect the fire to significantly affect operations, and customers should still be able to buy livestock and animal feed. No injuries were reported, and officials had not released a cause or damage estimate as of Wednesday.
