Fire crews contain grain silo fire at Tennessee Farmers Co-Op in La Vergne, Tennessee

Fire crews swiftly contained a grain silo fire do to thorough pre-fire planning and coordination among local fire and police departments.

WGNS News reported on a fire at the Tennessee Farmers Co-Op grain silo in La Vergne, Tennessee, was quickly contained Thursday after employees reported smoke, with firefighters bringing the blaze under control within 25 minutes of arrival. The fire, located in a basement hopper of the six-story grain structure, prompted a response from 17 La Vergne Fire & Rescue personnel, mutual aid from Smyrna Fire Department, and police support for traffic control. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire Chief Ronny Beasley praised the effective pre-fire planning that aided the response.
