The Evansville ,Wisconsin, Fire Department has upgraded its rescue capabilities with new battery-powered extrication equipment, thanks to a $9,000 donation from ALCIVIA and partners Land O'Lakes and CHS.
The new tools replace outdated equipment, some of which was nearly 25 years old. Fire Chief Bob Fahey emphasized the importance of the upgrade, stating, "These tools definitely improve our efficiencies when lives hang in the balance and seconds make a huge difference."
The battery-powered equipment offers increased portability, allowing firefighters to access remote locations such as fields, confined spaces, and buildings. The tools also provide more power, enabling faster and more effective responses in critical rescue situations.
ALCIVIA CEO and President Jim Dell visited the fire station to witness the equipment in action. "This is one more way we at ALCIVIA can demonstrate our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve," Dell said. "Knowing our investment led to the purchase of tools that can help local firefighters save lives leaves a meaningful impact."
Chief Fahey expressed gratitude for the donation, assuring citizens that the Evansville Fire District now has "the latest extrication tool technology." He added, "This makes our job easier knowing we have better tools to help save lives."
The donation highlights the importance of community partnerships in enhancing public safety services. With the new equipment, the Evansville Fire Department is better equipped to respond to emergencies and protect the community it serves.
