A man last seen weeks ago at work was found dead in a grain bin, Nebraska State Police (NSP) said.

State troopers reported Jamie Balluch, 43, was found Wednesday, February 15, inside a grain bin at Bruning Grain and Feed Co. in Bruning, Nebraska, where he worked.

According to reports, Balluch had been missing since February 2. He was last seen at the facility before he went missing “under suspicious circumstances."

After preliminary searches of the property were unable to locate Balluch, the Thayer County Sheriff’s Office requested NSP assistance in the case. Balluch was located deceased inside one of the grain bins on the property.

UPDATE: In May, a Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson told KSNB that investigators found no criminal activity associated with Balluch’s death. He said an autopsy revealed a high blood alcohol content and evidence of pre-existing heart problems.
