Valley News Live's Anna Ballweber reported that officials have lifted evacuations following a massive grain elevator fire that erupted early Friday in Shelly, Minnesota.

The fire, which began around 5 a.m. on August 8, prompted evacuations due to hazardous materials stored in the facility.

“I looked out the window and saw the flames a couple hundred feet in the air,” said Shelly Mayor Ron Cakebread.

The Red Cross and local businesses provided support to displaced residents during the evacuation.
