Fire contained at Florida grain facility tower dryer

Multiple fire departments were needed to put out the blaze but no injuries were reported.

NorthEscambia.com reported on a fire that broke out Friday afternoon at Tensley Grain in Walnut Hill, Florida, with flames contained to a gas-powered tower dryer used to remove moisture from corn before storage.

Firefighters remained on scene for nearly four hours while facility employees moved grain into a pit and removed burning corn from the dryer.

No injuries were reported at the facility, formerly known as Escambia Grain, located on Arthur Brown Road.
