AGRIServices of Brunswick LLC (ASB) has added Bushel digital payments feature to its mobile and web offering.

Bushel enables money movement between grain companies and their farmers in a paperless manner, addressing the risks involved with the 90% of payments today through paper check.

Paperless payments

ASB recently added payments to their website as well as within their mobile app. This feature allows farmers to send and receive settlement funds and pay invoices. They can also view past activity and keep a digital record of transactions, while using the latest technology to mitigate risk and fraud.

Farmers can register for a Bushel Wallet account in less than three minutes to get started accessing funds.

“It was amazing to see how easy it was to set up a Wallet account,” said Mike Hainline, grain merchandiser at ASB. “This will really improve the way we transact with our farming customers and provide improved transparency to when and how we are paying each other. That will build trust long-term and really strengthen our relationships.”

Farmers can link up to six U.S.-based bank accounts for transfer purposes or immediately access their Bushel Wallet balance with a Business Debit Card wherever Visa is accepted.

Money automatically deposits into accounts

Instead of waiting for a check in the mail and having to take the extra step to deposit the check into their bank, farmers can see the money automatically deposited into their Wallet account.

ASB has become one of the biggest full-service agricultural retailers, wholesale fertilizer distributors, grain elevators, feed suppliers and multimodal transportation providers on the Missouri River.

“Farmers working with ASB will see really quickly how easy it will be to route money and appreciate not having to wait on a check, only to turn around and have to drive to the bank to deposit,” Jake Joraanstad, CEO of Bushel said.

“This is just the start of a robust network farmers can access to be able to easily transfer money as they interact with elevators and ag retailers.”

To ensure financial security for all parties, Bushel Wallet uses a fully routable bank account that is FDIC insured. Bushel complies with SOC 2 standards and debit card transactions over PCI-certified networks.
