Fixkraft-Futtermittel GmbH opened a 12,000-cubic-meter multifunction silo and hydrothermal oilseed processing system at its Donauhafen Enns site in Austria, combining intake, storage, and processing of feed raw materials at a single port-linked location to increase operational efficiency and capacity.

  • Fixkraft opened a 12,000-cubic-meter multifunction silo at Donauhafen Enns in Austria on September 19
  • The new facility includes a hydrothermal oilseed processing system that allows treatment of oilseeds at the same site where they arrive and are stored
  • The project represents a major milestone in the company's 55-year history, classified as long-cycle infrastructure rather than routine expansion
  • The integrated facility enables intake, storage, and processing to occur without moving materials between locations, improving efficiency and reducing logistics costs
  • The opening ceremony drew approximately 250 guests from agriculture, business, politics, and company employees

The project covers two connected upgrades. The first is the new multifunction silo, with 12,000 cubic meters of capacity for feed raw materials. The second is the hydrothermal oilseed processing system, which gives Fixkraft the ability to treat oilseeds at the same site where they are received and stored, rather than moving that step elsewhere in the chain.

Fixkraft marked the opening Sept. 19 at Donauhafen Enns with about 250 guests from agriculture, business and politics, along with the company's own employees. The company described the project as a milestone in its 55-year history, placing it in the category of long-cycle infrastructure rather than a routine site adjustment.

With both systems in place, the Enns location brings intake, storage and processing of feed raw materials together at a single port-linked site. Material arriving at the Danube port can move into the new silo and on to processing without leaving the location, and the added capacity gives the operation more room to hold raw materials between delivery and production.

The numbers behind the project are straightforward: 12,000 cubic meters of multifunction silo capacity, a new hydrothermal oilseed processing installation, roughly 250 people at the opening and a company history spanning 55 years.
