Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited has started construction on two grain storage silos at the Port of Quebec after getting approval from the Quebec Port Authority.
The project continues P&H’s investment in Canadian agricultural infrastructure and strengthens the Quebec terminal’s role in the company’s national grain handling network.
The expansion will improve the terminal’s operational flexibility. The new silos will integrate with the existing facility and provide more dockside storage capacity to optimize vessel loading and unloading. This helps P&H serve customers better and pursue growth opportunities in Quebec and export markets.
The Port of Quebec serves as a strategic export gateway in P&H’s coast-to-coast network. The terminal expansion strengthens connections between Canadian producers and global markets while supporting efficient grain movement across the network.
“This investment reflects our confidence in the future of Canadian agriculture and the critical role the Port of Quebec plays within our national network,” said Anthony Kulbacki, president of P&H Grain Division. “By strengthening our capacity at this strategic export location, we will be even better able to connect Canadian growers to global markets while supporting efficient, reliable grain movement across our network.”
P&H, a Canadian family-owned company with operations across the country, continues investing in infrastructure that improves market access for producers and strengthens Canada’s supply chains.
Construction is expected to finish in early winter 2028. P&H has measures in place to manage noise, dust and traffic and minimize impacts on the surrounding community.
“We remain attentive to the community and will work closely with our partners throughout the project to minimize impacts as much as possible,” Kulbacki said.
