North Dakota Mill And ElevatorThe North Dakota Industrial Commission appointed Cathy Dub as president and CEO of the North Dakota Mill and Elevator, the state-owned milling enterprise announced.

Dub will replace Vance Taylor, who is retiring after 26 years leading the facility. She has served as chief financial officer for the past six years and joined the mill as controller in February 2014.

“Cathy has an excellent understanding of the Mill’s history, mission and operations, and has provided strong leadership as its chief financial officer for the last six years,” commission members said in a joint statement.

The commission cited her knowledge of operations, suppliers and customers, along with fiscal expertise, as qualifications for the position.

“I am grateful to the members of the Industrial Commission for putting their trust in me to lead the North Dakota Mill and Elevator,” Dub said. “I am deeply committed to the Mill’s mission and legacy, and to supporting the outstanding team members at the Mill who consistently deliver the highest quality product and best customer service in the industry.”

The North Dakota Mill and Elevator is the only state-owned and operated milling enterprise in the United States and the largest single-site mill in North America. Established in 1919 with operations beginning in 1922, the facility processes 40 million bushels of North Dakota spring wheat and durum annually into 2 billion pounds of finished product.

The Industrial Commission of North Dakota oversees the mill. Commission members include Gov. Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
