Ag Growth International (AGI) is marking significant safety achievements at two of its Nebraska manufacturing facilities. Both the Falls City and Omaha plants have reached three years without lost time incidents, showcasing the company's commitment to workplace safety.
The Falls City facility, which specializes in engineered-to-order aeration and dust collection systems, achieved its milestone with a 65-person workforce. Kelly Ireland, AGI Falls City General Manager, attributes this success to the quality of the employees and their strong work ethic.
"From the production floor to the office, this team is one of the most exceptional groups I've had the privilege to work with," Ireland said. "Their loyalty, hard work and dedication to safety are unmatched."
Similarly, the Omaha plant, known for its mixed flow dryers and grain drying solutions, reached the three-year mark with its 51 employees. Abdallah Alkhaleel, AGI Omaha Plant Manager, emphasized the team's vigilance in maintaining a safe environment.
"This achievement speaks volumes about their professionalism and safety culture," Alkhaleel said. "Safety is a repeatable and embedded practice here."
A lost time incident (LTI) refers to a non-fatal injury causing disability or missed work. The LTI measurement is a key indicator of a company's safety performance and its impact on workforce productivity.
Paul Householder, AGI President and CEO, commended both teams for their achievements. "This milestone proves that safety, as a guiding principle, is deeply ingrained in our work culture," he said.
Henry Palomino, AGI Vice President of Supply Chain and North America Manufacturing, noted that these accomplishments set a new standard for safety excellence in the industry.
Both facilities play crucial roles in AGI's operations. The Falls City plant, acquired in 2008, produces systems that help companies meet clean air guidelines set by OSHA and the EPA. The Omaha facility, purchased in 2017, has been a steady employer in the Greater Omaha community since 1959, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to build grain dryers for customers across North America, Europe, and Mexico.
These safety milestones underscore AGI's commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence, setting a high bar for the agricultural manufacturing industry.
