The American Feed Industry Association has opened registration for its annual Equipment Manufacturers Conference, scheduled for Nov. 4-6 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

This year’s theme is “Operational Intelligence: A.I.'s Role in Efficiency, Growth and Security.”

“EMC continues to provide a unique opportunity for feed industry professionals to come together to discuss emerging trends, tackle shared challenges and strengthen relationships across the animal food industry,” said Gary Huddleston, AFIA’s senior director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs.

Huddleston said artificial intelligence has become increasingly integrated into manufacturing and business operations. The conference will explore how these technologies can drive greater efficiency, support growth and improve security throughout the industry.

The Equipment Manufacturers Committee hosts the annual conference to keep the equipment sector of the feed industry informed on current issues and innovations. The event provides opportunities for education, collaboration and networking.

Attendees will hear from industry experts and thought leaders on the practical applications of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, operational efficiencies and cybersecurity considerations. Sessions will address issues impacting feed manufacturing and equipment suppliers.

The three-day event will feature networking opportunities and the annual golf tournament. The tournament raises money for the EMC scholarship fund, which supports students pursuing careers in feed and grain sciences at eight universities across the country.

Early-bird registration runs through Oct. 2, with discounted rates available for AFIA members
