

Westlind, a GEAPS member since 2007, serves as business development director at The Weitz Company in Plymouth, Minnesota.
“It’s an honor to step into this role as GEAPS President and represent an organization that brings together professionals from every corner of the grain and grain processing industries,” Westlind said.
Bob Horvat, who served as president for the past year, moved to the role of Chair of the Board. Horvat is the manufacturing tech lead for Cargill Inc. in Wayzata, Minnesota.
During his tenure, GEAPS surpassed 4,500 members, held a record-breaking Exchange event and expanded educational offerings. The organization also increased participation from grain processing professionals.
Jeff Trudell of BCI was elected International Second Vice President, positioning him to serve as president in 2028-2029.
Three members were elected to three-year terms as International Board Directors: Tom Rodman of TEMCO LLC, Jacob Long of Bartlett and Scott Steinke of The Andersons Co.
Dale Vinsand of West Side Salvage LLC was appointed to a one-year term as Associate Member International Board Director after Trudell declined the position to assume his vice president role. Adam Geers of Michigan Agricultural Commodities was appointed to a one-year term to fill a board vacancy.
