The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) joined 17 agricultural organizations in urging the Senate Commerce Committee to advance the renomination of Michelle Schultz and the nomination of Richard Kloster to the Surface Transportation Board (STB).

In a letter to Senate leaders, the groups emphasized the STB’s critical role in overseeing the freight rail system that supports America’s agricultural supply chain. NGFA President Mike Seyfert praised Schultz’s steady leadership during challenging rail service conditions and highlighted Kloster’s expertise in transportation strategy and rail operations.

Kloster, founder of Integrity Rail Partners, brings extensive experience from senior roles at Alltranstek, FTR, and Advanced Rail Equipment Solutions, as well as board positions with industry groups.

The letter stressed the urgency of confirming both nominees amid ongoing rail performance oversight and significant pending decisions before the Board.
