Women in Agribusiness has announced plans for its first global summit, scheduled for May 18-19, 2026, at the Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The WIA Global Summit 2026 will bring together agribusiness executives, entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers from Europe, the Americas and Middle East/North Africa regions with the goal of elevating women across the agricultural value chain.
"Thanks to the success of our U.S. event, there have been calls to host an international summit to provide this connection and learning environment for a global audience of female agribusiness professionals," said Svitlana Synkovska, portfolio director for Women in Agribusiness.
The global launch aligns with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations declaring 2026 the International Year of Women in Agriculture. It also coincides with new European Union gender legislation requiring major companies to implement leadership diversity.
The event will focus on five key pillars: global agribusiness leadership, markets and trade, policy and sustainability, innovation and investments, and networking and career development.
Programming will include presentations on agricultural commodities, supply chains, ESG initiatives and technology opportunities. The summit will also feature CEO roundtables, leadership masterclasses and mentorship programs.
The new global event complements WIA's U.S. summit, now in its 14th year, which annually attracts nearly 1,000 female agribusiness professionals.
"It's imperative to ensure that women have a seat at every table, from the farm to the boardroom," Synkovska said.
