Women in Agribusiness (WIA) has announced the appointment of Svitlana Synkovska as its new portfolio director, marking a significant step in the organization's growth strategy. With 20 years of experience in the agriculture sector and a proven track record in global event management, Synkovska is set to drive the expansion and evolution of WIA's offerings.

In this newly created role, Synkovska will spearhead the development of WIA's flagship annual summit while actively engaging with the community to refine and enhance content, networking opportunities, and event offerings. Her mandate includes expanding WIA's reach both nationally and globally.

Synkovska brings a wealth of experience to the position, having directed over 50 high-profile international agribusiness events. Her most recent roles included leading Global Grain Geneva and US Biofuels and Feedstocks, where she focused on developing community engagement and strengthening value propositions.

"I am truly impressed and inspired by the incredible community that the WIA Summit has cultivated," said Synkovska, who is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. "My focus will be on enhancing the delegate experience, enriching event content and introducing innovative elements, all while preserving the core essence of the event – to empower and inspire women in agribusiness."

Attendees of the upcoming Women in Agribusiness Summit in Orlando, September 22-24, can expect enhanced networking opportunities, tailored matchmaking within job functions, and themed breakout sessions. Janet Fisher, recently promoted to assistant director of WIA, will lead the team in developing an extensive marketing and media campaign to showcase the expanded offerings.

Tim Hart, president of Arc network, WIA's parent company, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment: "I look forward to working with Svitlana on the growth of the Women in Agribusiness brand. This expansion will center around enriching the networking and connection opportunities for attendees, ensured by Svitlana's proven track record in leading and launching these types of global events and data products."

This strategic move by WIA underscores the organization's commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the agribusiness sector while continuing to support and empower women in the industry.
