This week, farmer-leaders from the Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) were in Salt Lake City to participate in the U.S. Grains Council meetings, where they advocated for critical agricultural export and trade issues. The delegation emphasized the importance of sustainable farming practices and the need to expand the global demand for U.S. corn.

At the council's annual Board of Delegates meeting, ICGA past board member Curt Mether was reelected to an At-Large position on the U.S. Grains Council Board, marking a continued commitment to influence the agricultural sector on both national and international stages. "I am honored to represent Iowa and our needs in these conversations," said Mether, highlighting his role in pushing for expanded opportunities for corn exports.

The meetings served as a strategic platform for Iowa corn farmer leaders to engage with global stakeholders, share market insights, and forge pathways for increased collaboration in grain exports. This participation underscores Iowa Corn’s dedication to advancing the interests of local corn producers and enhancing the profile of U.S. grains on the world stage.
