Siouxland Proud's Reilly Mahon reported on a fire broke out at the Hull Coop feed mill in Sheldon Wednesday afternoon, prompting response from multiple area fire departments.
The Sheldon Fire Company responded to reports of smoke coming from a roof vent. Fire officials said the blaze was contained to a feed pellet cooler, exhaust system and storage bin.
“All Hull Coop personnel are safe and accounted for,” the company said in a Thursday statement, adding that staff are communicating with affected feed customers.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
