Emergency crews were sent to the Poulin Grain feed plant in Newport, VT last Wednesday after a blaze ignited at the facility.
“Our Newport, VT facility experienced a small equipment fire last night. We’re grateful to our employees and fire department for a quick response, no injuries, and very minimal damage,” Poulin Grain said in a statement on its Facebook page.
WCAX reported the fire was out by Thursday morning. The company said operations returned to normal the following day.
No information on the cause of the incident was available.
Poulin Grain has four mill manufacturing locations in Newport, Swanton and Bennington, VT and Canton, NY.
