Sweet Mfg. Inc. has appointed James “Jimi” Davidson as its new sales manager.

Davidson will manage, track and grow U.S. markets and be accountable for reaching yearly sales goals and business consistency. He will proactively establish domestic dealers and resale representatives, effectively execute sales department guidelines and policies, and propose/implement lean initiatives.

Davidson served in the Sweet's sales department since 2012. He started as a customer service specialist, assisting dealers with part sales, internal sales support and work order entry. He was then promoted to sales associate. In 2019, Davidson became a senior sales associate and managed the west territory sales and dealers. He also played an essential role in developing the new Quality Line series bucket elevator.

“Jimi’s strong background in the material handling world, experience in sales activities, and multiple years supporting our dealer base make him a key asset to Sweet Manufacturing,” says Julio Contreras, vice president of sales.

“He has improved many of our processes and offers valuable support to our new and legacy dealers. Jimi’s reliability, excellent attitude and playful personality make us feel like any change is achievable. His experience at Sweet has helped our team improve current processes and develop new products. I look forward to working closely with Jimi to manage the sales department and our customer base for many years.”
