Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) are urging farmers and companies who delivered grain to Hansen-Mueller within the past 90 days to immediately verify their delivery and payment status. Reports have surfaced that many Texas grain producers and companies have yet to receive full compensation for recent grain deliveries or deposits with Hansen-Mueller.
“I call on Hansen-Mueller to do right by our Texas producers and meet every outstanding obligation in full,” Commissioner Miller said. “Our farmers deserve fair treatment and timely payment for their hard work. Anything less is unacceptable.”
Hansen-Mueller operates under a license from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and does not hold a Texas grain dealer license. TDA advises producers concerned about nonpayment to consider filing a Uniform Commercial Code Financing Statement (UCC-1) with the Texas Secretary of State to protect their interests.
Commissioner Miller encouraged all grain producers who have worked with Hansen-Mueller to review their records, confirm delivery receipts, and ensure proper documentation is in place. The TDA remains available to support and guide producers through this situation.
