Tietjen expands Pro Series with fine grinding hammer mill

New model targets fish and pet food production with improved efficiency and maintenance.

Fd 24 Pro 3800x2800 Smr

Following the success of the FD32 Pro hammer mill, Tietjen is expanding its product line with the introduction of the FD 24 Pro hammer mill. Designed specifically for fine grinding of fat- and protein-rich recipes used in fish and pet food production, the FD 24 Pro builds on the proven robustness and smooth operation of its predecessor.

Key innovations include a rotor diameter increased by 100 mm, boosting the circumferential speed of the beaters, and a reduced distance between hammer tips and the screen to minimize clogging in high-fat and high-protein mixtures. The grinding chamber measures 1200 mm in length and is divided by a center wall, allowing easy handling of the 600 mm wide screens.

The machine features a total screen area of 3.6 square meters, with four screens per chamber segment. A special screen fastening prevents oversize particles from contaminating the product. Operators can optimize particle size distribution by using impact plates instead of the upper screen, enabling larger screen apertures without sacrificing quality and reducing energy consumption.

Ease of maintenance is a highlight, with sliding doors on both sides for quick access to screens and beaters. The proven beater frame system allows fast beater changes, resulting in shorter downtimes and more energy-efficient operation overall.

Tietjen’s FD 24 Pro hammer mill offers a practical, efficient solution for producers aiming to improve product quality and operational uptime in demanding feed applications.
