A recent nationwide poll conducted by Morning Consult for the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) reveals significant public support for expanding the availability of E15 gasoline and prioritizing U.S. energy independence.
Key findings from the survey include:
- 69% of registered voters support increasing E15 availability to lower fuel prices and boost energy independence.
- 83% of voters with an opinion favor expanded access to E15.
- 81% of respondents with an opinion support legislation for permanent, year-round, nationwide E15 sales.
- 90% of voters believe U.S. energy independence is important, with 62% deeming it "very important."
- 69% support increasing domestic renewable fuel production to achieve energy dominance.
RFA President and CEO Geoff Cooper emphasized the poll's significance, stating, "These polling results confirm that American voters want expanded access to E15, a lower-cost, cleaner-burning fuel that strengthens domestic energy security."
The Morning Consult survey polled 1,775 registered voters between December 4-5, with a two percent margin of error. These results underscore growing public interest in renewable fuels and energy independence as key components of U.S. energy policy.
