Bushel, an agriculture-focused software company, has been named "Farm Management Solution of the Year" in the 5th annual AgTech Breakthrough Awards.
The Bushel Farm platform combines operational planning, digital payments and account management in a single interface, allowing farmers to track field activities, manage crop plans and analyze financial performance.
"Bushel Farm was built for agriculture, and that focus shows in the tools we offer," said Jake Joraanstad, Bushel CEO. "Instead of switching between spreadsheets, bank accounts, and apps, our technology is helping to bridge a gap by offering a faster, easier way for farmers to send and receive money."
A key component is the Bushel Business Account, provided by The Bancorp Bank, which offers farmers an FDIC-insured business account with a 3.43% interest rate as of August 12, 2025.
Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director at AgTech Breakthrough, noted the platform addresses a significant digital gap in agriculture: "Fewer than 60% of farmers prefer to be paid by check, yet 77% still receive checks."
The company plans to add remote check deposit and debit card planning features in October 2025. Bushel maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance for data protection and security.
