Bunge announced the completion of its acquisition of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.’s soy protein concentrate, lecithin and soy crush businesses. The deal adds IFF’s Response, Alpha, Procon, and Solec brands to Bunge’s existing protein portfolio, enhancing its range of textured, functional, and powdered soy protein concentrates.

The acquisition strengthens Bunge’s ability to support the development of higher-protein products across bakery, snacks, meats, and alternative meats markets. It also broadens the company’s lecithin offerings to include a more comprehensive line of liquid, powdered, and fractionated lecithins derived from soy, sunflower, and rapeseed. These lecithins optimize production and texture in confectionery, bakery, and other food products.

Brian Douville, vice president of emulsifiers and proteins at Bunge, said the transaction reinforces the company’s commitment to being a partner of choice for food and beverage customers worldwide. “We are excited to integrate IFF’s soy protein concentrate, lecithin, and crush business and welcome our new colleagues to Bunge,” Douville said. “This supports supply chain resilience and offers a diverse, reliable range of ingredient solutions.”
