Ag Valley Co-op has acquired the Scoular Grain Facility in Atlanta, Nebraska, with the official transfer of possession and ownership completed on Sept. 26.
The farmer-owned cooperative, which serves producers across west and southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas, made the acquisition as part of its One Ag Valley initiative. This strategic plan aims to enhance collaboration across all divisions to provide essential tools, services and value to producers.
By expanding its grain handling and storage capabilities through this purchase, the cooperative is strengthening its support for local agricultural operations while making a long-term investment in regional infrastructure.
"At Ag Valley Co-op, we believe in Building Tomorrow Together as One Ag Valley," said Jeff Krejdl, CEO of Ag Valley Co-op. "The Atlanta facility expands our reach and allows us to create more opportunities for our members. This investment reflects our continued commitment to the long-term success of our member-owners."
The acquisition represents a significant expansion for the cooperative and aligns with its mission to provide comprehensive agricultural services to its membership. The Atlanta facility will immediately become part of Ag Valley's existing network of grain storage and handling locations across the region.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the announcement.
