NOVUS will present a symposium addressing poultry feed challenges during the Poultry Science Association Pacific Rim Scientific Conference in China, October 13-16.
The symposium, "Managing Raw Material Quality, Variability and Digestibility for Optimum Broiler Performance and Gut Health," will be chaired by Hugo Romero, Ph.D., NOVUS global poultry technology executive manager, and Anna Fe Perino, NOVUS poultry solutions manager for Asia.
"We're seeing increasingly complex feed ingredient landscapes due to cost, availability, and quality issues," said Romero. "This symposia will provide science-backed solutions to help poultry producers optimize performance."
The session will feature presentations from four experts, including Budi Tangendjaja on raw material quality, Sonia Liu discussing enzyme solutions, Romero exploring ingredient evaluation, and Miriam Tempra addressing formulation techniques.
Perino noted that nutritionists increasingly turn to alternative raw materials like canola meal and palm kernel meal, which pose risks due to digestibility challenges.
"This symposium is about enabling integrators and nutritionists to make informed, science-driven decisions," she said.
The event, scheduled for October 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mayfair Ballroom, is open to all conference attendees.
