
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has certified the results of the 2026 Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board election.
Thomas Perlick of Sarona won the District 1 seat, representing 16 counties including Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Douglas, Iron, Marathon, Portage, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Washburn and Wood.
Matt Wagenson of Bear Creek secured the District 7 position, serving Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Forest, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Shawano, Vilas and Waupaca counties.
The election closed August 15, with two certified candidates running for each open position. Both winners began their three-year terms September 1.
The Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board comprises soybean producers from seven districts statewide. The board manages roughly $2.4 million in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin soybean producers, funding research, education and promotion of Wisconsin-grown soybeans.
