Mark Sevier named Manager of Global Strategies and Trade at USGBC

New hire to advance market development and strengthen global trade relationships.

Mark Sevier

Mark Sevier has joined the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council as manager of global strategies and trade, based in Washington, D.C. He succeeds Alexander Grabois, who has moved to the Council’s Panama City office as deputy regional director for Latin America.

Sevier will support market development programs and provide trade servicing expertise to enhance relationships with U.S. and international traders, customers, and end-users worldwide.

“Mark brings a strong background in international trade and financial management, with 16 years of experience across 20 countries, that aligns perfectly with the Council’s mission,” said Kurt Shultz, USGBC senior director of global strategies.

Before joining USGBC, Sevier spent over five years as a director at ACDI/VOCA, managing agricultural trade relationships and leading private sector marketing initiatives supported by U.S. Department of Agriculture funding. He also worked at Fintrac, focusing on mobilizing private investments to scale commercial agriculture technologies in emerging markets.

Sevier holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ithaca College.
