Denver7's Robert Garrison reported that Denver Fire Department crews successfully rescued a Frito-Lay employee Monday after the worker fell 40 feet into a corn silo at the company's plant on East 37th Avenue.

Firefighters performed a confined space rescue to safely extract the employee, who was evaluated at the scene.

"The employee received prompt medical attention for minor injuries and is expected to be okay," PepsiCo, Frito-Lay's parent company, said in a statement.

Operations and products at the facility were not affected by the incident.
