KVLY's Anna Ballweber reported that authorities are investigating a second fire at a Shelly grain elevator that erupted Aug. 30, just weeks after an initial blaze caused extensive damage at the same location.
Norman County officials said the second fire was extinguished within hours and likely resulted from still-smoldering debris from the Aug. 8 fire, which required temporary evacuations due to hazardous materials.
No major damage or injuries were reported in the most recent incident. The cause of the initial fire remains under investigation.
