Local 3 News staff reported that Chattanooga, Tennessee, firefighters responded to Koch Foods Inc. in Lookout Valley on Friday, April 4, after reports of workers trapped in a grain silo. Upon arrival, they found one worker injured from a fall and three others stuck on a malfunctioning platform 60 feet above the silo floor.

After confirming air quality and safety, firefighters assisted in repairing the platform, allowing the trapped workers to descend safely. The injured worker, who had fallen while climbing a pipe inside the structure, was transported to the hospital. All workers were checked for dehydration due to high temperatures inside the silo.
