The Andersons grain facility in Delphi, IN, experienced a fire and a bin collapse in separate incidents on Monday, the Delphi Fire Department said in social media posts.
The fire was reported at 6:40 a.m. Monday. Multiple crews responded to find fires in a large filter cannister, its associated conveyors and a connected storage bin. Firefighters took three hours to extinguish the blaze.
Later that afternoon, fire departments again responded to the same facility at 2:30 p.m. for a grain bin collapse.
The large grain bin collapsing crushed vehicles and spilled thousands of pounds of grain.
Photos showed the collapsed bin had left the ground covered in grain with a truck smashed from the collapsing bin.
No one was injured in either incident.
