The USDA says corn for ethanol use in 2020 was 4.776 billion bushels, down 10% from 2019. That was because of reduced blending demand caused by lower travel linked to COVID-19 and, later in the year, higher corn prices pressuring margins, reports Brownfield.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol production last year was 13.93 billion gallons, a decrease of nearly 12% on the year, and the lowest annual total since 2013.

Domestic production of distillers dried grains with solubles was 20,163,317 tons, a year to year decline of 11%.
