NEW CONSTRUCTION

Vetagro | animal nutrition production and distribution facility

Location: Easton, Maryland

Planned completion: July 2026

The Italian animal nutrition company broke ground in September 2025 on its first U.S. manufacturing facility, initially creating 20 jobs with potential to grow to 60 positions as operations expand.

Bunge Chevron Ag | renewables oilseed plant

Location: Destrehan, Louisiana

Planned completion: 2026

The plant will feature a flexible design capable of processing soybeans, soft seeds and novel winter oilseed crops.

Delta Grain | grain elevator

Location: Sidon, Mississippi

Planned completion: October 2025

Delta Grain is investing $3.76 million to expand its Sidon facility with a ground pile and new conveyance system that will add 2.15 million bushels of storage capacity.

DeLong | agricultural intermodal export facility

Location: Portsmouth, Virginia

Planned completion: Early 2026

The $26 million agricultural intermodal export facility in Portsmouth will be the first East Coast site able to receive unit trains and transload grain and feedstuffs directly into export containers.

Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative | grain unloading station and rail access

Location: Linville, Virginia

Planned completion: Unreported

A $750,000 Rail Industrial Access grant will help expand the cooperative’s grain unloading station and rail trackage to double annual railcar usage and reduce truck traffic.

Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative | feed mill

Location: Rockingham County, Virginia

Planned completion: 2027 

The $113.9 million multi-phase expansion will create the largest feed mill on the East Coast, adding nearly 2 million cubic feet of feed production capacity.

Louis Dreyfus Co. | soybean processing plant

Location: Sandusky, Ohio

Planned completion: Spring 2026

The plant will have an annual soy crushing capacity of 1.5 million metric tons and annual edible soybean oil production capacity of 320,000 metric tons.

Gerber & Sons Inc. | feed mill

Location: Baltic, Ohio

Planned completion: Unreported

Gerber & Sons will double their feed mill's processing capacity from 1.65 million bushels and consolidate more than 500,000 bushels of raw material storage.

Beck’s new soybean processing facility will have processing capacity of 3 million units of soybeans per year.

A new soybean oil extraction and biodiesel plant is slated to be operational in 2026, with the remainder of the expansion targeted for completion by 2030.

The Kindred project adds new concrete storage and handling capacity to boost speed and volume on Red River Valley & Western rail.

Location: Red Cloud, Nebraska

Planned completion: Early fall 2026

CPI is adding a 2‑million‑bushel grain storage building and 30,000‑bushel‑per‑hour dump pit and receiving leg to increase capacity and receiving speed at its Red Cloud shuttle facility.

Location: Worthing, South Dakota

The Worthing project will add a new elevator complex with six 140‑foot concrete bins, a new receiving building and upgraded rail and truck scale infrastructure to support high‑speed grain loading.

Agtegra Cooperative | feed mill

Location: Faulkton, South Dakota

Planned completion: 2027

Agtegra is building a new 100,000-ton biosecure grind-mix feed mill using locally sourced corn to produce swine and poultry feed, creating about a dozen local jobs.

A $20 million federal grant will support the Midwest Multi‑Modal Development Project at the Port of Manitowoc to expand grain storage, upgrade handling equipment and improve rail connections for domestic and export shipments.

POET plans to double production at its Shelbyville bioprocessing facility, increasing annual bioethanol output from 98 million to 193 million gallons and expanding co‑product volumes and local corn demand.
